Kubota Group is pleased to announce that the facility in Orillia, Ontario, which specializes in centrifugal and static steel castings, will be expanded to manufacture ceramic products. A new plant has been constructed that will produce TXAX material, a ceramic that is used in a wide range of brake/clutch friction applications for various machines including automobiles, as well as a reinforcing material for plastics or metals and as a coating agent. Our plans are on track for this facility to be operational in the second quarter this year.
As a result of this expansion we are changing our name from ‘Kubota Metal Corporation’ to ‘Kubota Materials Canada Corporation’ to better reflect our expanded business of the steel castings and ceramic products.
To ensure that communications continue smoothly, please update your records, including billing and payments, to the new name. The change will take effect as of April 1, 2013.
